ENVIRONMENTAL FALLOUT & OVERSPRAY & ROAD PAINT REMOVAL
Industrial Paint OversprayIndustrial Paint Overspray occurs when airborne particles from painting projects adhere to personal property located in the general vicinity of a structure being painted. This could be the result of paint being sprayed, rolled or even brushed where particles are carried in the prevailing wind.
This category includes paint types such as epoxies, polyurethanes, alkyds, coal tar epoxy, polyurea, powder coatings, masonry waterproofing, and any type of industrial coating. Ming Shine Co. specializes in the removal of these contaminant materials. If properly removed, industrial overspray will not harm clear coat finishes or void any existing manufacturer's warranty.
Chemical Emmissions Plant and refinery operations create many types of emissions which can adhere to a wide variety of surfaces including vehicles and buildings throughout the neighboring community. The public relations process can become a nightmare for self insured entities such as refineries and large manufacturing facilities. Our administrative team is capable of ensuring that a company maintains its good standing in the local community.
Types of chemical emissions include: petro chemical by-products, post stack combustion, fly ash and coke. If not removed quickly using the proper method, chemical emissions can cause permanent surface damage. Ming Shine Co. strongly suggests removing these contaminant materials as soon as possible in order to obtain the best results.
Iron OxidesIron oxides also referred to as "rail head dust" or "ferric oxide" consists of tiny metallic particles that adhere to vehicle surfaces. This type of overspray damage occurs in industrial environments adjacent to factories, and railroads along with sandblasting and mining operations. Without proper removal, this contaminant's abrasive nature can cause extensive scratching to a vehicle's finish. Furthermore, if not removed in a timely manner, "rail dust" will cause permanent rust stains.
Sandblasting operations produce "spent abrasive" material which can be removed using our hand polishing procedures. The processes used for iron oxide removal, will neutralize any threat of rust penetration and restore the vehicle's finish to its original state.
Acid Rain/Caustic Stains
Industrial pollutants and emissions drift into the atmosphere and combine with rain or snow to form acids. These diluted acids settle on a vehicle's surface and when the water evaporates, the remaining acid becomes more concentrated and will cause damage to the surface creating slight depressions or craters. These imperfections are commonly referred to as "water spots", "water stains", and "acid rain etching".
This category also includes mineral deposits / cement, salt, calcium, and lime deposits. Ming Shine Co. recommends immediate removal to increase the probability of a full surface restoration. If left untreated, acid rain will cause permanent surface damage. Don't believe it when someone informs you that these damages cannot be corrected. We have processed hundreds if not thousands of units successfully for manufacturers and dealers along with individual vehicle owners.
Road Spray/Tar/Oil
Roadspray consisting of asphalt, tar, oil, paint striping and coatings are common resurfacing materials used on our nation's roads. When a vehicle is traveling on newly resurfaced roads, these contaminate materials "splash up" predominantly on the lower or "rocker panel" of a vehicle causing roadspray.
Roofing materials such as tar, oil, and polyurethane foam can also be successfully removed from a vehicle's surface. These road paint removal and roadspray claims are very similar and commonly treated in the same manner as paint overspray restoration. back to top

INTERIOR DETAILING
An interior cleaning requires more than soap and water - it requires trained personnel and expert knowledge of today's automotive fabrics, leather, carpet and interior components. Prior to any cleaning it is necessary to identify fabric composition, its age, severity of stains and the overall condition of the interior. This information allows the technician to choose the best method, or methods, that will clean the interior correctly.
The actual cleaning process begins with the technician removing the floormats, blowing out the cracks, crevices and seams, vacuuming the carpets and seats for dirt and dust and spot cleaning heavier stains. This prepping stage is very important to achieving a clean interior and should not be overlooked. The second cleaning stage involves our NEW dry-vapour steam technique.
The advantages to uses steam:
No more soaking wet interiors
Kill unwanted Bacteria
Serious Reduction in Chemical Usage
No more strong Shampoo Odours
Clean small areas that are out of reach
While most professional detailing shops have adopted the use of carpet extractors over the "old school" bucket-and-brush method, many detailers are still leaving your interior soaking wet and smelling of cheap shampoos when you pick up your vehicle.
Not at Ming Shine Co.! We now use a DRY-VAPOUR STEAM system that allows us to effectively clean your interior without leaving your interior wet, killing bacteria, reducing chemical use, eliminating shampoo odours, and we get at those hard-to-reach places.
WHAT DOES STEAM DO?
All steamers have a boiler. The water inside the boiler is heated and pressurized which will produce steam - or more precisely, hot dry vapour, which is a gas. As all gasses do, when vapor contacts the atmosphere it expands violently and dissipates.
Vapor molecules are extremely small and are able to penetrate the pores on any surface. When the hot vapor molecules come in contact with the cool surface in the pores, they violently expand and force all dirt, debris, and bacteria to the surface. Also, because the vapor is so hot, bacteria - as well as anything else - are killed. The results are surfaces that are free of any substances that were not originally on those surfaces.
In addition, the surface dries extremely quickly because you are cleaning with hot vapor, which has a water content of only about 5 percent. When we use steam on the interior of a vehicle, the overall interior will be almost totally dry when you pick it up!
OUR CUSTOMERS LOVE IT!
Our DRY-VAPOUR STEAM system safely cleans surfaces without damaging leather, plastic trim, fabrics, etc. The steamer is not only safe but very effective. It was also very quick in eliminating some stains and grease, and in cleaning tight areas.
Ming Shine Co. has nearly eliminated our commercial grade cleaners while mostly using just steam. Doing so prevents the creation of chemical residues, which can attract more dirt. The result is a surface that looks brighter and is actually cleaner! The absence of chemicals, and some harsh odors they leave behind, helps satisfy clients who may be very sensitive to chemical smells, as well as promoting a more environmentally-friendly process.
Instrument Detailing is the final stage of an interior cleaning. Using special tools and products, your interior components are wiped down to give a new car look and shine to the interior. Gathering any personal belongings and cleaning the windows completes the interior cleaning process. back to top
